① The environmental Science Technology Education Network processes minimal personal information required for the purpose of providing specialized environmental education services in the Asia-Pacific region and managing memberships.
② The environmental Science Technology Education Network processes personal information as follows. The processed personal information will not be used for purposes other than those stated below, and if the purpose of use changes, separate consent will be obtained in accordance with Article 18 of the "Personal Information Protection Act."

 Article 4 (Procedure and Method of Personal Information Disposal)
① The environmental Science Technology Education Network will promptly dispose of personal information that has become unnecessary due to the expiration of the retention period or the achievement of the processing purpose.
 
② Even if the retention period agreed upon with the data subject has expired or the processing purpose has been achieved, if the personal information must be retained under other laws, the relevant personal information (or personal information file) will be moved to a separate database or stored in a different location as required by such laws.
③ The procedure and method of personal information disposal are as follows:
 
1. Disposal Procedure
The environmental Science Technology Education Network establishes a plan for disposing of personal information (or personal information file) that needs to be disposed of. It selects personal information (or personal information file) for which disposal is required, obtains the approval of the personal information protection officer, and disposes of the personal information (or personal information file).
 
2. Disposal Method
The environmental Science Technology Education Network disposes of electronically stored personal information in a way that prevents reproduction of records. Paper documents containing personal information are shredded or incinerated to be disposed of.
 
 
 Article 5 (Rights and Obligations of Data Subjects and Legal Representatives and Their Exercise Methods)
① Data subjects may exercise their rights to access, correct, delete, or suspend processing of personal information from the environmental Science Technology Education Network at any time.
② The rights stipulated in Paragraph 1 may be exercised through a legal representative of the data subject or an authorized representative. In this case, a power of attorney according to Form No. 11 of the "Guidelines on Processing Personal Information" must be submitted.
※ Requests for access to personal information for children under 14 years of age must be made directly by the legal representative, and for individuals aged 14 and over but under 14 years old, the data subject may exercise their rights or the legal representative may do so.
③ Exercise of Rights under Paragraph 1 can be done through written communication, email, facsimile (FAX), etc., pursuant to Article 41(1) of the Enforcement Decree of the Personal Information Protection Act, with regard to the environmental Science Technology Education Network, and the environmental Science Technology Education Network will promptly take action on this.
④ Additionally, the exercise of rights under Paragraph 1 can also be done through the Personal Information Protection Portal (www.privacy.go.kr) → Complaints Corner → Application for Personal Information Access, and the environmental Science Technology Education Network will promptly take action on this as well.
⑤ Requests for personal information access and processing cessation may be restricted according to Article 35(4) and Article 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act.
⑥ Requests for correction and deletion of personal information cannot be made if the personal information is subject to collection under different laws.
⑦ The environmental Science Technology Education Network verifies whether the requester of access pursuant to rights, correction or deletion, and processing cessation under the Information Subject's rights is the individual or a legitimate representative.

② When entering into an entrustment contract, the environmental Science Technology Education Network specifies matters related to the prohibition of personal information processing beyond the scope of the entrustment, ensuring security measures, limitations on re-entrustment, and the management and supervision of the subcontractor's responsibilities, according to Article 26 of the "Personal Information Protection Act." The environmental Science Technology Education Network supervises whether the subcontractor processes personal information safely.

② The environmental Science Technology Education Network achieved an 'A' grade in the 2022 Personal Information Management Level Diagnosis evaluation.
